We have an affection for guinea pigs. They are cute, easy to take care of, and are the best pets! And, in some countries, are more efficient for burgers than cows.
I've had a lot of different pets over the years, and I can tell you we've always had great experiences with our guinea pigs. They are very social creatures and love vegetables. They aren't constantly trying to escape like other caged pets want to do. They just seem like very content creatures (unless they hear the frig. door open and are used to getting a carrot or two every morning). They like to be held and petted.
We recently lost our guinea pig, but she left us with good memories.
